Amid rising energy costs and mounting pressure to decarbonize, Carrier Abound deployed the following to support retailers on their sustainability journey:

Over a period of 12 months, our AIoT-enabled solutions and proactive customer service have helped retailers make measurable progress toward sustainability goals by improving energy efficiency, lowering emissions, and enhancing equipment performance.

• Improved Energy Efficiency: From May 2024 to Apr 2025, we helped retailers save over 667 million kWh of energy globally. This is equivalent to carbon sequestered by over 7.42 million tree seedlings grown for over 10 years¹. 
• Fewer Truck Rolls: Between May 2024 to Apr 2025, our predictive maintenance approach helped avoid over 40,919 truck rolls, preventing 6,620 metric tons of CO₂ emissions² for the retailer. 
• Reduced Refrigerant Leakage: For a leading American retailer with over 2,100 stores, we identified refrigerant leaks across approximately 5,300 RTUs from May 2024 to Sep 2024. Timely intervention helped save an estimated 161,318 pounds of refrigerant (estimated 89.6% of total RTU capacity across all 5,300 RTUs) from further leakage, reducing emissions while preserving equipment health and ensuring operational continuity.
