As an agnostic platform, Abound works with a growing list of data, equipment, and systems, including building management systems (BMS) and IoT sensors. Today we can communicate with devices made by 1000s of manufacturers.

Abound is architected to connect to any system or device supported by industry standard protocols and interfaces — such as BACnet, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and MQTT — to quickly implement new integrations. We have about 50 communication drivers that cover protocols like BACnet/IP, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT and API’s like AirThings, LenelS2 OnGuard, Density, and others.

The short answer is: It depends on the type of system or device you want us to connect to. If you have a question about integrating to a specific system, please provide your requirements to your representative. If the system is not already supported, and is not already on the roadmap, we will discuss an integration plan with you.

Yes, as a cloud-based platform, Abound is engineered to accommodate your needs as they evolve alongside the latest technologies. Simply provide information about your new system to your representative and we will discuss a plan to incorporate your new system. In some cases, the system may already be supported out of the box by Abound.

Customers may either use their own implementation teams to install sensors – or sensor installation can be performed by an Abound partner. In either case, an Abound representative is available as a point of contact.

This benchmark provides an at-a-glance view of real time performance across six key building health indicators: Temperature, Humidity, Carbon Dioxide, Particulate Matter 2.5, Total Volatile Organic Compounds, and Radon.

Abound’s Live Building IAQ feature is a real-time benchmarking tool that allows building owners, operators and occupants to understand a building’s performance relative to third party standards.

Abound was developed by Carrier Corporation, the leading global provider of healthy, safe and sustainable building and cold chain solutions.

Born out of Carrier’s commitment to digital innovation, Abound is grounded in Carrier’s 115-year history of expertise, service, support, and commitment to excellence.

As a customer of Abound, you own the rights to all data collected on your equipment and allow Carrier anonymous access to that data for aggregation, support, and analytics.

Data in Abound is end-to-end encrypted and stored through AWS which provides an additional layer of security. Each Edge device has a unique certificate or privacy key.

There is also a Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption on all connections and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

For temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, particulate matter 2.5, radon, and volatile organic compounds, Abound determines its Healthy Air standards based on thresholds set in the WELL Building Standard™.
