What systems and devices does Abound work with?

Down arrow

As an agnostic platform, Abound works with a growing list of data, equipment, and systems, including building management systems (BMS) and IoT sensors. Today we can communicate with devices made by 1000s of manufacturers.

Abound is architected to connect to any system or device supported by industry standard protocols and interfaces — such as BACnet, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and MQTT — to quickly implement new integrations. We have about 50 communication drivers that cover protocols like BACnet/IP, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT and API’s like AirThings, Lenel OnGuard, Density, and others.

What if Abound doesn’t integrate with my existing system or device? Is there a way to connect it?

Down arrow

The short answer is: It depends on the type of system or device you want us to connect to. If you have a question about integrating to a specific system, please provide your requirements to your representative. If the system is not already supported, and is not already on the roadmap, we will discuss an integration plan with you.

What if I add a new system in my building? Can I connect it to Abound later on?

Down arrow

Yes, as a cloud-based platform, Abound is engineered to accommodate your needs as they evolve alongside the latest technologies. Simply provide information about your new system to your representative and we will discuss a plan to incorporate your new system. In some cases the system may already be supported out of the box by Abound.

What kind of installation and onboarding support does Abound provide?

Down arrow

Customers may either use their own implementation teams to install sensors – or sensor installation can be performed by an Abound partner. In either case, an Abound representative is available as a point of contact.

After the hardware installation phase has been completed at a site, platform access follows within a week. This week is used by our development team to verify that data is flowing correctly, to create user profiles, and to schedule and conduct a training session. After these steps are completed, the value of Abound will be unleashed and available at your fingertips.

What is Abound’s “Live Building IAQ” feature?

Down arrow

Abound’s Live Building IAQ feature is a real-time benchmarking tool that allows building owners, operators and occupants to understand a building’s performance relative to third party standards.

This benchmark provides an at-a-glance view of real time performance across six key building health indicators: Temperature, Humidity, Carbon Dioxide, Particulate Matter 2.5, Total Volatile Organic Compounds, and Radon.

What is Abound’s relationship to Carrier Corporation?

How do you handle customer data privacy & ownership? How secure is my data in Abound?

Down arrow
